GateScan Privacy Policy

What GateScan is

GateScan helps Amazon sellers evaluate seller- and marketplace-specific product selling eligibility using Amazon's Selling Partner API after the seller authorizes access. GateScan is not affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon.

Information we process

GateScan may process these categories of information:

• GateKeep account identifiers used for authentication and access checks.
• GateKeep entitlement relationship needed to confirm eligible GateKeep subscriber access.
• GateScan profile identifiers, organization membership, and seller-account records.
• Amazon seller authorization data, seller identifiers, and marketplace participation.
• Product, brand, product type, catalog, eligibility, restriction, scan, and recheck data created by GateScan.
• Security logs, diagnostics, error metadata, and support communications.
• GateKeep billing relationship information where needed to understand access eligibility.

Authentication, entitlement, and billing

GateScan uses the existing GateKeep Supabase Auth identity. GateKeep's licensing system remains the entitlement authority for GateScan access. GateScan does not create a separate authentication authority, password database, license system, subscription plan, or checkout flow.

GateKeep subscriptions and payment processing may be handled through GateKeep's existing billing systems, including Stripe where applicable.

Amazon authorization data

If you connect an Amazon seller account, Amazon authorization is handled through Amazon LWA and SP-API. The planned refresh-token storage design encrypts Amazon refresh tokens at rest using authenticated encryption. Plaintext refresh tokens are not intentionally persisted, and short-lived Amazon access tokens are intended to remain backend-only.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate users, verify GateKeep eligibility, operate GateScan, maintain seller- and marketplace-specific records, troubleshoot issues, secure the service, respond to support requests, and comply with applicable platform requirements.

Sharing

GateScan uses service providers for authentication, application hosting, database storage, payment processing through GateKeep where applicable, and Amazon SP-API authorization/data access. We do not sell GateScan application data.
